What Sold0 said.

Many people think that because we're in springtime heading towards summer the weather gets warmer. If you want guaranteed nice weather in San Francisco come in Sept/Oct,otherwise it's in the lap of the gods,

As Mark Twain once said"The coldest winter I ever spent was summer in San Francisco"

Btw.It's 77 degrees today.

CAL has some of the most diverse weather I have ever known.... obviously LA-San Diego it's 80's.... the majority of the time... but as you work up the coast it deffo gets cooler... the 3 days we stayed in SF in Oct we went from low 80's to low 60's in the space of a couple of days... and if you are gonna do Whale watching don't wear little jeans shorts like my kid did last time!! In Yosemite we went from 80 degrees in the valley floor and an hours drive later to Glacier Point we had snow caps.... like I said.. it's diverse

Re: California
If you're in that region and you have time a couple of days in Yosemite and Carmel would be worth it.

Also Death Valley worthwhile, stay at tha Furnace Creek Inn

Re: California
Swiss.I know San Ramon but didn't get here until 98.Too much going on in SF to even leave the place for about 10 years!

Shim.Be prepared for anything weather wise here.It was 81 degrees in Feb and 43 two weeks ago!

It's all about layering. It can get pretty cold when the sun goes down.

SF I don't know if you know San Ramon but I remember going to a club called The Blue Tatoo around 1997. Crazy place had girls dancing in cages.

Re: California
Cheers SF.. what's the weather likely to be doing is its shorts & polo weather or jeans & jackets (at risk of it becoming a young woody hat to wear thread) ?...

Re: California
Was only in SF for 2 days as was based in San Ramon about 40km east. But try this place Trattoria Pinocchio on Columbus. This street is famous for Italian food.

North Beach is Little Italy. My MATE Giovanni owns Pinnochio. There's better than that around there.

Re: California
I'm also heading to SF for a week 4th-11th April, anyone got a West Ham supporting venue to watch the Chelsea game on the Sunday morning over there ?.. we've got tickets to go see the giants v la dodgers afterwards on Sunday afternoon.

Sorry mate didn't see the Whomail.

8.30 kickoff,Not WHU pubs but Maggie Mcgarrys on Grant Ave will have it on,but no kids in the bar.If your boy's with you there's a nice bar/restaurant just around the corner from Maggies called Chief Sullivans on Green Street.Great food, nice staff and I'm sure they'll stick it on for you.I'll be watching it in bed with a massive hangover probably!

Re: California
I must admit I have the Monday clear as it stands, so could hire a car & head up there but I’m a bit concerned it might be a bit of a stretch to head up there, so the whale watching & head back down to sf all in a day.. (possibly with a hangover after West Ham game & giants all dayer).. thoughts ??
